The New Orleans Youth Alliance is excited to grow Year 5 of the Youth Program Quality Initiative, also known as YPQI. The New Orleans Youth Alliance is the youth intermediary for the Greater New Orleans area whose purpose is to improve the quality of youth serving organizations in New Orleans and to center youth voice and racial equity in youth development practice. As we prepare to launch the fifth year of the initiative, we are aiming to certify up to 15 external assessors to support youth development organizations participating in YPQI.

The bulk of the workshop consists of practice video scoring.  Participants who successfully achieve acceptable levels of reliability (80% at the item level) through a video reliability check become “Endorsed Assessors” and are able to collect “research quality data”.
